Join willow weaver Lisa Dear for a creative day learning to weave your own beautiful willow and hazel handle basket.
Lisa Dear is an artist and maker living close to the land. Through willow basketry, she creates functional objects that quietly reconnect daily life to nature.
The workshop will give you an introduction to the world of weaving willow and will focus on creating a simple basket using British grown willow, and a hazel wood handle (similar to the image shown).
Workshops will be held in the magical upstairs space at our shop in Alfriston, East Sussex and limited to a maximum of 4 people. The small group size means that you'll benefit from lots of individual guidance and tuition.
Suitable for beginners but good manual dexterity is needed, and all materials and equipment will be provided.
Saturday 17th October from 10 - 5pm.

We'll keep you well nourished with tea & coffee and one of Lisa's delicious homemade cakes but please bring your own lunch or head out to one of the neighbouring cafes in Alfriston.

Some workshops require more space or more individual tuition so are held in even smaller, more personal groups.

Tea, coffee and water will be available for you throughout your workshop, as well as a tasty mid-workshop treat from our friends at Badgers Tea House in Alfriston.
If you are booking onto a full day workshop please note that lunch is not provided so you will either need to bring your own or head out to one of the shops and cafes in the village.

Please note that if you need to cancel your workshop booking you are only eligible for a full refund within 2 weeks of the workshop. If we have another date available and you'd like to move your booking to a subsequent workshop please send us an email to re-arrange your booking: studio@chapter2store.com
If you cancel your booking within the 2 week period and we're able to fill your space your full ticket price will be refunded.
