Black stoneware mug with honey glazed, hand carved designs by Eastbourne ceramicist Steph Tooley.
Steph uses a Korean technique called Sang Gam to create the patterns in her work. The technique involves carving the motif, filling with slip and then scraping back to reveal the pattern. The colours and fine, hand carved lines in her work give each piece a real feeling of tradition and history.
