Hand thrown cake stand with hand built curled handles by ceramicist Lotte Andrews.
Lotte's work is unlike anything else, it has a naive and illustrative quality both in terms of the making and the expressive hand painted decoration. The exaggerated and playful shapes she creates in clay are reminiscent of an illustration from a children's story and make her work a true statement piece.
This is totally unique and will make a real statement on an table or as a centrepiece for a special celebration. The off white ceramic is decorated with an expressive series of blue lines and marks, with a series of stripes all around the base.
Made by hand by Lotte in her ceramics studio in Hever, Kent, irregularities may be present which are all part of the charm.
