Hand thrown mug with curled handle by ceramicist Lotte Andrews.
Lotte's work is unlike anything else, it has a naive and illustrative quality both in terms of the making and the expressive hand painted decoration. The exaggerated and playful shapes she creates in clay are reminiscent of an illustration from a children's story and make her work a true statement piece.
Each mug is decorated with an expressive series of blue lines and marks.
Each piece is made by hand by Lotte in her ceramics studio in Hever, Kent. No two pieces are the same and irregularities may be present which are all part of the charm. As every piece is slightly different please note you may not be sent the exact same mug as photographed.
