"The ridge & furrow'd earth folds a path to the sea, where the mackerel gleam"
Stoneware vase with hand carved prose and the countryside of the South Downs, made using a sgraffito technique by Sheffield ceramicist Ben Hall, known as Mr Ben.
Ben's work is distinctive for the individual white & blue designs which he hand carves into every item. Each piece is made by hand by Ben in his shed and as such pleasing irregularities may be present, and no 2 vases are ever the same.
We asked Ben to create a vase which captures the landscape of the Cuckmere river and the fields surrounding us here in the midst of the South Downs in Sussex.
Approx size: 22cm x 12cm

“Three years later my Wren Boots still look amazing and feel like slippers. No denying they were an investment purchase but the style is timeless so the price per wear is now down to pennies. Make the leap if you are tempted, you won’t regret it!”
