Mandy's work centres around her love of the mountains, in particular those closest to her in her hometown of Glasgow, Scotland.
Colour is central to how she works, using carefully selected colours and expressive marks to capture the feeling of a landscape. Mandy's work holds a sense of quiet and a moment of stillness which will bring a peaceful calm to any home.
This is pastel study of the North face of Ben Lomond. Cooler tones and deeper contrasts describe the mountain in shadow, with greens, blues and muted purples holding the last of the day’s light.
