Finch is our first winter-sole shoe and a modern classic designed for everyday. Evolved from our signature Harrier Boot, it carries the same toe shape, clean lines and considered details, making it an easy essential, and in many ways the definitive Chapter 2 shoe.
Crafted in velvety soft suede, Finch comes in a rich burgundy shade that reflects the depth and warmth of the season. The upper is finished with our distinctive black kid-suede heel counter and paired with black waxed cotton laces for a refined, understated look. For those who prefer something bolder, a cream lace is included in the box.
Underfoot, a lightweight EVA sole brings comfort with a soft, spongy feel. Highly durable and confident in profile, the chunky tread adds a contemporary attitude while a stitched leather rand detail adds a quiet nod to our shoemaking heritage.
Finch in Burgundy is produced in a limited run, each handmade by our shoemaker Tom in the Chapter 2 workshop in East Sussex, England.

All CHAPTER 2 styles are made using soft, natural leathers which will develop their own unique character the more you wear them.
Sustainability

The upper leathers used on CHAPTER 2 boots are sourced from tanneries that have achieved either a Gold or Silver rating as part of the Leather Working Group.
LWG is the cornerstone in standards for the production of responsibly made leather. Their aim is to encourage a more responsible and transparent leather supply chain as a pathway to creating and using sustainable materials.

This CHAPTER 2 style has been handcrafted in our workshop in East Sussex, UK by our master shoemaker Tom.
Shoes & boots made in England are made in a very limited, small batch production.
This style features our practical winter sole. Made using a lightweight and highly durable EVA rubber compound it is both waterproof and has spongy underfoot comfort. The sole is detailed with a leather storm welt as a nod to our shoemaking heritage.

CHAPTER 2 shoes are made in European sizes 37-42 eur.
Generally our shoes & boots fit true to size so we recommend you take your usual size. If you are in between sizes we usually suggest you take the next size up.
