Hawk & Shadow is an original wood cut print by stone carver and printmaker Jo Sweeting, and is one of several prints that were created to illustrate a book of poetry.
Hawk & Shadow depicts a Hawk flying high over the fields with it's dark shadow looming large on the land below. The expressive variety of textures and marks in the wood cut give this print an expressiveness which defines both the stillness of the land and the flowing nature of the sky.
Hand-printed woodcut in black ink, available either framed or unframed. Both are signed, titled and dated by the artist.
UNFRAMED: size: 36.2 × 52.5cm
FRAMED: size: 42 × 58cm. Framed in black oak, with mount.
