Wild Sussex clay vase with twisted hedgerow Hazel on a block of reclaimed Sussex Oak barn beam, by East Sussex based ceramicist Kate McMinnies.
Each piece in Kate's Inherent Rhythms series is carefully considered as a whole and tells a different story about the landscape; from the hand thrown form and choice of clay, to way the pieces balances on the plinth and the perfect foliage.
Kate's work centres around the hedgerows, harmony with nature and the natural shapes and forms found in the landscape that surrounds per practice in the South Downs. The colours and textures in her work are often found from the wild clays that she digs from the Downs in combination with carefully selected wood, stone and hedgerow finds.
Approx size of the piece including base & foliage: 15cm x 31cm

“Three years later my Wren Boots still look amazing and feel like slippers. No denying they were an investment purchase but the style is timeless so the price per wear is now down to pennies. Make the leap if you are tempted, you won’t regret it!”
